Review of Analyze That (2002) by Chad D — 16 Jan 2012
Analyze This was great - funny and original. Analyze That tries to capitalise on Analyze This, and initially succeeds. The plot starts off as original, and is a good extension of Analyze This. However, it runs out of ideas about half-way through, degenerating into a fairly predictable gangster-farce. Similarly, the snappy humour gives way to mindless action.
Robert De Niro, Billy Crystal and Lisa Kudrow give the same great performances they gave in the first movie. Good support from Anthony La Paglia.
Overall, not nearly as good as Analyze This, but has its moments.
