Review of Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (2004) by Luke P — 11 May 2009
Not a bad entry in the popular snake series. This film took a different approach to the series in the fact there is very little action compared to the others which was different which meant when a character died you actually cared about them.
The acting is really cheesy especially Johnny Messner as the captain, but in the spirit of the film which is just cheap enetertainment I cant really complain. The music is really good in creating the atmosphere needed.
My only complaint and this goes from this film onwards is the VFX or CGI it was shockingly bad and considering this was a theatrical release it makes it even worse. Overall not a bad film which continues the storyline form the first one really well and is not a bad way to spend an hour and a half.
