Review of Anaconda (1954) by Rob C — 23 Feb 2010
Anaconda was a chance to show that even the actors can have a day in the spotlight, and that's what the film was built on. Aside from the clumsy animatronics, which were in the realm of Jaws, the actors seemed to be having a good time during the production of it.
It's readily apparent they weren't going to win any fancy awards, but only a stepping stone in their careers. Nowadays, it looks like every film actors dish out are stepping stones to some big climatic one.
Anaconda was made for a cheap thrill and it achieved just that.
