Review of An Unfinished Life (2005) by Tonyb. — 11 Sep 2005
It's the best film I've seen so far this year. I don't remember ever liking Robert Redford as much as I did in this, and I've seen virtually all of his films. As usual, Morgan Freeman turns in an outstanding job, and the hell with those who insist on saying that virtually all of his roles are the same.
The Jennifer Lopez bashers will have to admit that given the right director and the right co-stars, she can deliver a highly credible performance, which is what she does here. Newcomer Becca Gardner is a find, and, handled well, she has a career ahead of her.
The supporting cast is excellent right down the line.
