Review of An Unfinished Life (2005) by Rash H — 16 Jun 2007
Behind every cliché and moment of over-sweetness, there is a dark and concentrated look on the workings of a family that could have taken place just about anywhere - besides the inclusion of the bear which plays out like some extended twice removed family member. It might be the third Jennifer Lopez movie (Out of Sight and The Cell come to mind) not to harm the viewer and actually comes away with alot of heart and some excellent performances - Redford in particular playing the role we've seen too many times (the damaged goods, the mistake in the past) by greater actors, but here he shines and steals every scene.
Grand stuff for a simple and popular tale.
