Many people have been given Jennifer Lopez grief ever since that whole Gigli film. Well just because someone makes a bad movie does not make them a bad actor forever. In this simple film Lopez plays a run away women, Jean, escaping the abuse of her current boyfriend.
Her and her daughter travel to the country in search of the dead husbands father, Einar (Robert Redford) in order to lay low for a while. When she reaches his ranch the father is without a smile for he holds a grudge agents her.
He believes that she was the reason for his son?s death. Despite this Redford lets the two stay. Living with Redford is his only friend Mitch (Morgan Freeman). Mitch suffered a brutal encounter with a bear years back and has a hard time getting around.
Einar is his personal aid. The film is somewhat of a simple film that has good characters, nice scenery and well-told story.
