Richard Gere stars as a cocky selfish person who enters Navy pilot officers candidate training camp. Trying not to turn out like his drunken skirt chasing dad he faces ejection from the camp for violations.
Louis Gossett Jr plays the strict hard nosed drill Sargent who recognizes his ability but also his self centerness and pushes him to change and be all he can be. Debra Winger plays a girl he meets near the base and the movie focus's a little to much on the romance instead of the training camp.
But a classic for all time, great 80's flick.
