Review of An Inconvenient Truth (2006) by Ashley H — 06 May 2010
Just one word: SCARY â?? scarier than any horror movie you might have seen. â??An Inconvenient Truthâ?? is a documentary that contains profound reflections about nature and environmental problems we need to face before itâ??s too late. Thereâ??s lots of data, and Al Gore who explains whatâ??s global warming, and how it might affect us in the future â?? interesting, but thatâ??s something weâ??ve heard over and over again for years now. Still, a very interesting way to put it.
Whatâ??s powerful in this movie is the way Al Gore speaks â?? you can tell heâ??s desperate, heâ??s tried anything to make people listen because he loves this planet. Thatâ??s the difference between this documentary and many other ones: thereâ??s love, an endless love for nature in this one.
It might be just political, but I absolutely prefer to see it as a movie made for the planet â?? and not to seek a political revenge. The intention was good, and the movie turned out to be very instructiveâ?¦ and seducing, because Earth is beautiful, and nobody wants to destroy it.
The ending is very powerful, but I still donâ??t trust all that data â?? data can be manipulated, what counts is the final result, that we have yet not seen, and that weâ??ll never be able to see.
Totally worth watching.
