Review of An Inconvenient Truth (2006) by Jh K — 22 Jan 2013
7 years later, there just is no (mentally sound) dispute over the fact of global warming: it's happening and perhaps even faster than Gore claimed only a few short years ago. Although the film can certainly be labeled "alarmist" in the way Gore presents his breathtaking powerpoint presentation, the fact is it is all based on the prevailing science and it's very bad news for the planet, indeed. The clock continues to tick today and we have know seen the worst weather effects for the East Coast (with the recent "frankenstorm") in over a century, with far more monetary damage this time around.
Let us hope that the prevailing noise of our society doesn't override the common sense (and no nonsense attitude) of both America and the world for much longer because our children and grandchildren will be the ones who really have to deal with the consequences of our terrible stewardship of this beautiful planet, not us.
