Review of An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power (2017) by Daniel S — 04 Aug 2017
An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power is the kind of movie that all humans should be interested in seeing because it is based on evidence based facts and data collection following the scientific method.
Al Gore is just the messenger here. He has done a fantastic job of bringing the message to the people, but he can't make people go see it. No one likes this message, but these are the facts and humans can change what they are doing before the 6th great mass extinction on Planet Earth is in full swing.
Unfortunately, the low audience score for this movie is due to people who have preconceived ideas and don't want other viewers to go see it. Many admit in their comments that they haven't actually watched it and wouldn't so why they feel they can leave an audience comment and purposely lower the score is pretty ridiculous.
I encourage anyone who cares about the planet and all living flora and fauna including humans to go watch this movie and educate themselves about the facts of catastrophic climate change. It's time to transition away from fossil fuels and build a strong economy on sustainable and renewable energy technologies including solar, wind, wave, and geothermal energy technologies.
There is enormous untapped jobs in these fields. Let's turn things around and have a brighter future. We have governments and people who are stuck in the industrial age mindset of the 1840's that left thousands dead from coal blackened air in England.
They knew back then that the air was killing people, but they wouldn't stop the coal production for fear it would effect jobs and the economy. We are better than that. We are intelligent and ingenious and given the support, we can benefit from the transition to clean sustainable energy and build the economy.
Watch the movie with an open mind and leave comments based on facts, not cultural or political bias.
