A coming of age drama serving up a fantastic performance from rising star Carey Mulligan. She plsys Jenny, a schoolgirl sucked into the high flying lifestyle of David (Peter Sarsgaard) and his pals. As Mulligan's father, Alfred Molina steals every scene he is in and Emma Thompson plays against type as Mulligan's rather ballsy headteacher.
A sharp script and fantastic acting make this worthy of all the critical and award winning praise it has earnt.
