OMG! The critics got this one right too! I bought it because of the high ratings, trailer, and subject matter. It did not disappoint in the area of art-imitating-life. London in the 60's! A-Levels.
Mock exams. 6th Form! Raining buckets! Obsessed with France. Speaks French. Penny Pinching Father. Charming older man with carefree ways. Though there were some obvious differences, like the ending of the film.
*She was a lot more accommodating, for example. I swear one of those neighborhoods they drove to was straight out of the home finding website. I'm so glad that my money wasn't wasted on this, as so much of it seems to have been wasted, buying things for other people that I clearly wouldn't have purchased for myself and learning later that the movies were horrible.
