Review of An Education (2009) by Victor D — 16 Mar 2011
A truly wonderful film that is the best coming of age film in the last few years.
Carey Mulligan plays Jenny a smart talented girl who has been working toward Oxford her entire life when she meets David a older gentleman who appears to be perfect. As their relationship grows she slowly begins to let school and her dreams slide. It all leads up to her questioning what she really wants in life, what's truly important in life.
Carey Mulligan is simply fantastic as she delivers the single best performance of 2009 (Miles beyond Sandra Bullock in the Blind Side).
It should have won best picture in 2009 hands down the best film nominated and my 2nd favorite film of 2009 right behind 500 Days of Summer.
See it ASAP.
