A very simple and straightforward, yet touching coming-of-age film about schoolgirl Jenny who falls for a charismatic older man. As she is exposed to the outside world, she begins to question the purpose of her education and how she desires to live the rest of her life.
Carey Mulligan gives an incredible performance as Jenny, creating a perfect balance of maturity and naivety, and a stellar supporting cast make this film a joy to watch. A charmingly tender and well-handled picture.
