A really "catchy" timepice about a girl revolting her ordinary life in the beginning of the sixties in London. She has her whole life ahead of her and get swept of her feet by an older, sophisticated man.
This was a film that at times were dragged out a bit, but it was quite interesting most of the time. Beautiful cinematography, a story that is driven forward by great performances even though the story it self was pretty ordinary.
Especially Rosamund Pike, Emma Thompson and Alfred Molina had great supporting roles, but none of them could stand up against the shining star of this movie. Carey mulligan was simply stunning and a revelation.
She will have a great career. Simply stunning and without her this movie would have been plain and ordinary. One of many all right movies. But she lifted this out of oblivion. see it for her...
