The acting in this movie is spot on perfect. Carey Mulligan is brilliant. She hits comedic and dramatic notes without batting an eye. Her range of confusion, innocence and self assurance are a joy to watch.
The rest of the cast is brilliant, Rosamund Pike got snubbed for a supporting actress nomination. While on the surface it seems like a light comedy there is some edge to this picture and it switches gears very well.
The end wraps up a little too quick but that's a small complaint in a very enjoyable film.
