Review of An Education (2009) by Rochelle B — 24 Jan 2012
Okay, I think I would have liked this one if it didn't take the turns that you expect it to from the first frame, as a young girl gets swept off her feet by a worldly older man, then 'places her future in jeopardy' as the synopsis says. I was slightly appalled that her father never takes any sort of steps to put a stop to things, nor to even really look into this guy's background, as his kid is a whopping 16 or so, she's practically grown, right?
WTF?
It's a decent watch for the styles of the times and the character interaction, but don't be surprised if you know how it's going to end from the first frame.
