Review of An Education (2009) by Geoffrey T — 11 Apr 2012
The first hour or so of this movie is pretty good, but kind of slow. In a way I can forgive it for that because the final 30 minutes brings about all the emotion and morality that was lacking in the first hour.
Despite this complaint, I also acknowledge that the first hour is totally necessary to make the ending so engaging. So this is a really good film, and it captures the precarious situations we could all easily get caught up in when we're young and naive.
The acting is very good all around, and the writing is observant and insightful.
