Review of An Education (2009) by Thomas B — 15 Dec 2010
I really liked Carey Mulligan here. I can see why she got so much attention for this role. I found her charming naivete to be both believable and relatable. I wasn't in high school and preparing to get into Oxford, but even as an adult I've definitely felt like this to a somewhat lesser extent in the dating world.
It's kind of devastating sometimes when you want to trust people but so few people are worthy of your trust. However, the story just felt to me like some over-dramatized cliche that should be on the Lifetime Movie Network.
