Review of An Education (2009) by Mimi S — 30 Oct 2012
This one is so wonderful. Mulligan's play and it's French theme makes the movie feel very soft, and makes you sit well through. The moral of this movie shines through pretty transparent, due to BBC input, of course.
But, coming from a boy yet to finish an education, it is stated quite lovely and not compulsory. But that may too be the British way of doing this. It also lacks propaganda and seems more to tell a quite interesting and lovely story, instead of the life's lesson you'd expect from the title and corporation involved.
That element is in there, but it doesn't interfere with the drama and the atmosphere. This I appreciate, for these are pleasurable.
