I believe that this movie is a bit underestimated. Personally, I believe that "American Werewolf in Paris" is a more than worthy sequel to "American Werewolf in London". If it's merely on the basis that the wolf itself is more anitmation than make-up, then the critics have no business delivering their view. Without such animations, the modern "Incredible Hulk" and "Spiderman" would be extremely dull and without any life. It's true that graphics back then weren't as lifelike, but neither is the make-up that stage artists used to make a character. In the first "American Werewolf", the wolf was barely shown at all, and when it was it was more a head then body or a mass of flesh of which viewers can really see what frightens the victims in the movie. In the second movie , however, the wolf is seen almost entirely, and the viewers can really grasp the concept of fear in which the director intended. And as well, the story behind the second movie was much more in focus and detailed, providing answers which weren't answered in the first film. I'm not saying that the first film wasn't excellent, because it was very well done for its time period; I'm merely saying that in comparison to its more modern sequel, it doesn't seem as realistic or as intense. And with these last few words, I would love to give many thanks to the people whom brought us these two movies, for they were among my favorites as I was growing up.

Sincerely,.

Dillon Albin.
