Review of An American Werewolf in Paris (1997) by Alex R — 01 May 2010
This review wouldn't be half as bad if the makers hadn't made the mistake of titling this as they did, a sequel to a great film. Because they did that, they won't stop me making a comparison to the original which they tried to copy several times in this poor attempt.
This was an American adolescent teen pile of crap. The effects were computerised cartoons which looked far worse than the original of 16 years earlier. They couldn't even stick within the rules of the classic werewolf story, no they had to make some up of their own like drugs that can bring about the transformation, they had no imagination to fill the gap between full moons, and that you could reverse the curse by eating the heart of the werewolf that killed you, shite.
I can imagine that Julie Delpy really needed the money when she read the truly awful script of this film.
