Review of An American Werewolf in Paris (1997) by Elan M — 26 Jun 2013
While it turned out to be a lot better than I thought, it still doesn't live up entirely to the original. It's a shame that they went with CGI effects, since the original was a landmark in practical effects.
The humor is a hit-or-miss, it's pretty funny in the beginning but gets stale later on. There was several nice callbacks to 'London', but there is nothing that links it directly. Overall, it's mostly fun at first, gets generic, but isn't as good as Landis' masterpiece.
