Review of An American Werewolf in London (1981) by Ian C — 25 Oct 2014
A timeless classic that, still holds up well today. The opening with a memorable performance from Brian Glover is creepy, I also noticed the late great Rik Mayall as one of the barflys and Bricktop from 'Snatch' is a taxi driver.
It mixes comedy with horror perfectly and the dream sequences are still freaky. Serious twitch off Jenny Agutter. Landis's use of Creedence and the three different versions of Blue Moon works wonderfully as does final act in the porn cinema.
