Review of An American Werewolf in London (1981) by Dan H — 14 Aug 2013
A pitch-dark horror comedy, and one of the best were-wolf films you can see. The horror elements are unforgettable, and the comedic ones are pretty damned great too. Both David naughton as David and Griffon Dunne as Jack are superb in their roles (David as the reluctant were-wolf and straight man, and Jack as the recently undead and unhappy funny man), Jenny Agutter is also great and beautiful as David's love interest and caretaker.
With iconic settings and characters, some ground-breaking effects, and a simplistic story American Werewolf earned its status as a classic film, and it's one that deserves to be seen.
