Review of An American Tail: Fievel Goes West (1991) by Christopher S — 13 Sep 2012
This film was made mostly on the commercial success of the first film five years prior. I wish that the first film had bombed in the box office because Universal Pictures did not need to waste its time and money.
The only redeeming quality of this film was it was short. However, the entire Wild West scenery with the cats, dogs, and mice sounded like a good idea but it really was not. The voice talents were weak, and that's saying something given Jimmy Stewart lent his voice as Wylie Burp.
However, the action and animation left much to be desired. The directing was subpar and the songs were less than ideal. I love Linda Ronstadt but I seriously doubt she would list this film as a career highlight.
Do not waste your time and money on this film.
