Review of An American Tail (1986) by Tristan P — 09 Dec 2010
It's got some cool chase sequences and James Horner's score fits the mood. The voice is decent with Madeline Kahn stealing the show in a reprise of her character from Blazing Saddles. But the things that hinder it are as follows: The songs are bit annoying, and this is where (after Secret of NIMH) you see that Bluth is more interested in choppy, overdramatic poses in his animation than he is in a coherent story.
