Review of An American Tail (1986) by Nick T — 28 Aug 2016
As with all Don Bluth animated films, at least the ones from the 80's, this one is a two front movie. On one hand you've got a movie about a talking mouse who wants to try and find his family. On the other it's a parable for Jewish immigrants coming to America.
The film does work, but I fear it may have not aged the best in the twenty plus years that it was made. It is still a fun time, but not as much of a classic as you might remember from childhood.
