The acting was good enough, and it was scary enough, at least inside of the frame narrative. I didn't care for the ending at all though, especially if that's not really what happened and you made it up to make it more sensational, but also because it seems like a pretty sexist conclusion to jump to, and plus it didn't really make sense with the rest of the story.
