Review of An American Haunting (2005) by Vicky G — 03 Oct 2008
As far as horror movies go, I kind of liked this one. There are mostly cheap scares but there is some general spookiness thrown in there as well.
Mostly there are just scenes of possession, or whatever you want to call these phenomena. The story is pretty straightforward, but at least they tried to come up with something. I will always remember this movie as the moment I almost had a heart attack, when, amidst of a scary scene, I heard the sound of a door closing loudly in the next room. Nice timing, thanks.
I can't get over one thing, though. If only one person is being haunted, why the fuck is she the only person that is left alone all the time? I like my movies logical, please.
