The first two third of the movie title is correct "An American...", but "Haunting"? Nope. I can think of horror movies I've turned off before because they were just stupid, but this is the first one I can think of that I turned off because it was just so boring.
If there was any fear in watching this movie, it was that I might have actually been bored into some Terry Schiavo-like brain dead state permanently. I suppose that's where true fear lies, but....
