Review of An American Haunting (2005) by Mark N — 20 May 2012
A tiresome yawnfest with all the fun of a court room drama. Some fine acting talent have nothing to do as a horribly obvious plot plays out and wants to have it both ways: fantastical poltergeist mayhem and serious grounded reality.
The glacial pace makes it feel twice it's length and informs you there there just wasn't the material to sustain the material. The obvious plot is also painfully weak and lacked clever dialogue that would have at least been a welcome distraction. Watch "The Last Exorcism" for a far better time.
