Review of An American Crime (2007) by Matthew C — 13 Jan 2009
A troubling story about extreme child abuse in the 60s. Ellen Page does a good job playing the brutalized young teenager, as does Keener as the drugged out mother. Don't know how effective the "twist" ending was, however; didn't really add anything overly significant to the story.
I coulda done without it. Overall a decent movie, though.
