You have to mentally prepare yourself for a movie like this -- one this is disturbing, especially since we know it's a true story. It's shocking to think that people can be so cruel, so if you have nightmares easily then I'd suggest skipping this one.

But if you're able to handle it, you should definitely watch it. The performances are excellent, and it's a shame that Catherine Keener--in a rather different role--and Ellen Page--who's marvelous, as always--didn't receive much acclaim.
