Review of An American Carol (2008) by Thomas T — 25 Dec 2008
Give it an extra star for being the first right wing comedy to come out of Hollywood since,...well forever. Nowadays the only punk rock thing to be is republican and or conservative, and this movie relishes lampooning the left so those easily offended by jokes about terrorists (some of the funniest stuff in the movie), hippie college professors, and ACLU zombies, stay away.
It might not change any minds of those who "hate" America but it is funny and in spite of a skimpy plot and underdeveloped characters it actually does have an ounce of real patriotic moral heart, not to mention some good "did you know" moments from history (your ideas about JFK might be forever changed).
God bless America and God bless us everyone!
