Review of An American Carol (2008) by Philip P — 05 Jan 2009
I watched the first twenty minutes of this with some friends and they didnt seem to enjoy it so much, so we turned it off, but I was interested enough and watched the entire film later on. Im not usually one for this kind of stupid humor and it was really dumb at points but it made up for it with some moments of pure hilarity.
The best moment is the musical number about college professors and how they believe they are elite. All the points made had a quality to them that if you did not agree you would genuinley feel dumb. It was a nice, quick little satire, the best of these recent parodies that have little to do with what they are poking fun at.
This wasnt making fun just for the sake of its subjects popularity, it had something to say, and was actually funny about it at times.
