Review of An American Carol (2008) by Nathan R — 10 Jan 2009
What could have been an amusing riff looks more like a propaganda film out to destroy Moore rather than spoof him. Ultimately, the problem with An American Carol is the problem with far too much political discourse in this country, left or right: It highlights the worst excesses of the opposition for the sole purpose of discrediting the vast middle.
I am not American, I do not live in the US, so many of your internal problems and cultural distinctive features are unknown to me. But I do love movies of David Zucker , as plenty other people all around the world, because this silly (in a good way) buffoon-style humor of Naked Gun and Airplane!
