Review of An American Carol (2008) by Ceph J — 21 Jun 2009
Michael Moore is one of the most hated liberals in US so I'm not surprised Republicans actors like Jon Voight and Kelsey Grammer, and director David Zucker (Airplane) make fun of him. In this spoof, Michael M.
wants to abolish the 4th of July (what!) so they poke, jab, and beat him into submission. "This is America and to win the war on terrorism, we all must unite," seems to be the message. I thought democracy works best when minority views is respected but I guess that doesn't matter.
The movie is not particularly funny but the scenes of the terrorists trying to recruit are potentially funny, but with better writing. The title is deliberately vague--I had no idea what this spoof was about when I rented it.
