Review of An American Carol (2008) by Kevin M — 03 Oct 2008
AN AMERICAN CAROL is a "Dickens" of a funny flick! The American spirit is celebrated in the outrageous and totally irreverent comedy from David Zucker, the master of questionable taste (Airplane!, The Naked Gun, Scary Movie 3 and 4).
In An American Carol a cynical, Anti-American Hollywood filmmaker ? Michael Moore (Michael Malone) played by Kevin farley ? sets out on a crusade to abolish the 4th of July holiday. He is visited by three spirits who take him on an hilarious journey in an attempt to show him the true meaning of America.

WARNING! This movie may be offensive to children, young people, old people, in-the-middle people, some people on the right, all people on the left, terrorists, pacifists, war-mongers, fish mongers, Christians, Jews, Muslims, atheists, agnostics (though you'd have to prove it to them), the ACLU, liberals, conservatives, neo-cons, ex-cons, future cons, Republicans, Democrats, Libertarian, people of color, people of no color, English speakers, English-as-a-second language speakers, non-speakers, men, women, more women, & Ivy League professors. Native Americans should be okay.
The promo ad says it all:
"In Hollywood, they say conservative movies are nearly illegal. That would make Kevin Farley, Jon Voight, Kelsey Grammer, Dennis Hopper, and Leslie Nielsen ALMOST CRIMINAL!".
An American Carol is an extremely well-made (and politically IN-correct) satire of everything leftist and anti-American. It skewers all of their sacred cows, and does it with a Girl Scout blade!
BTW, pay no attention to any review Out There that starts with something like: "downright unfunny..." "Not humorous" or "singularly inept" -- you can be certain it's coming from somewhere Far Left in the Obama-sphere! (It's hard to "get" the joke when you're it's butt! And -- oh... whatabutt!!).
ROTFL!!
BTW, I'm going again, and this time, I'll drag along my Commie-Pinko-Hippie-Lemming-Zombie friends, so I can watch them squirm!! TWICE THE ENTERTAINMENT, TWICE THE FUN!! Worth the price!!
