Review of An Affair to Remember (1957) by K L — 06 Jul 2012
AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER is a classic Hollywood melodrama at its very very best. It's an unpretentious film that is content to be the soap-opera that it is, and puts on no effort of affected smartness or intellectualism, and the story line is as simple as a film, a fable, has ever been, and is manifestation of the saying that "what you remember in movies are moments, not story lines.
" AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER is full of those moments; some make you laugh and some make you cry, and they're all unforgettable.
