Review of Amusement (2008) by Andrea N — 04 Feb 2009

I remember a long ass time ago I saw the trailer for this film and was genuinely excited to see it. It finally hit dvd and I got a chance to see it. This was definitely a fun horror film with lots of a twists to keep you guessing the whole through the movie. There were a few parts that I did not agree with, but again... it was so much fun that I could care less what was wrong with it. There was a element of creepiness when it came to the scene with the clown, that part was epic! I kind of wish the rest of the movie would have followed that path but what they came up with instead was still pretty sweet. Like I said the twists throughout the film were great, it was definitely my favorite part of the whole thing. It was really hard to guess what was gonna happen next.

The killer was awesome because he dressed up in a bunch of different outfits and played different characters, definitely Amusing! The movie has a pretty sweet ending too, kind of cliche ridden but I guess it really cant be a horror movie if it didnt have it's cliches. The acting was better than it was bad so thats always a plus, especially in a B horror film like this. I swear sometimes I think they put shitty acting in bad horror movies on purprose to kind of make the experience even more horrifying. But in Amusement's case, it didnt have the crappy acting.

Anyway this one is totally worth renting, its a lot of fun I promise!
