Review of Amusement (2008) by Sherry L — 20 Jun 2011
Average splatter horror with many of the "essential" ingredients for the ultimate splatter; raving mad maniac with a gimmick (in this; weird laughter), slayings in the most spectacular ways, pretty young girls running for their lives.
Oh, where does this sacred love of mine, for horror movies, come from?! I don't get it.
Well, anyway, I found this movie average, but absolutely LOVED the second sequence, the one with the clown! You know all the time what's going to happen, but not in which way... Loved it.
The first sequence, with the convoys, were not interesting at all. Just dumb. Was tempted to turn off the TV, at first. The third part, "Slumber party" was ok. The "solution"-part contained no suprises, just serial killer vs. surviving girl, bla.bla.bla.
A more exciting ending would have lift this movie a bit, perhaps to a 70%, if you're generous.
I could recommend this for girls' nights ect., but that's what these kind of movies are for.
