Review of Amu (2005) by Shradha B — 08 Aug 2007
Just came back from watching the movie and hmmm...have mixed feelings about it.
The film is about the 1984 riots against the sikhs in Delhi - a challenging subject and credit has to be given to the director for doing a commendable job in her very first movie.
The movie is filmed very well but the story rambled a lot before coming to the point. It also had a lot of loose ends but Konkona Sensharma's acting was brilliant and it was a one-woman show all throughout. Brinda Karat looks great and must say, it is an impressive debut for her too!
A good movie, but as Parag has said below, could have been made better.
