Review of Amour (2012) by Wayne M — 03 Mar 2013
Deeply honest and personal portrayal of old age, death, love and caring. Michael Haneke's acclaimed film is superbly acted, serene and totally unsentimental. Georges and Anne are retired music teachers who live a quiet life in their Paris apartment.
When Anne suffers a stroke their world changes forever. This quiet film, there is no music, is slow and subtle full of many sad moments and also heart breaking ones as well. One to affect the mind and the heart.
