Review of Amour (2012) by Joel A — 21 Mar 2013
A quite dark, honest yet very bleak look at Old Age . Director Michael Haneke truly is a dark character & in my opinion a great but dark & depressive filmmaker.
This is a confronting film that travels rather slow but has key scenes that will grab your attention straight back.
Although I found the director gutsy & unique for his approach it's undeniably bleak & depressing & leaves you feeling rather flat but it does show the day to day struggles of old age. Not a film for everyone but an interesting that ended up winning Best Foreign Film at the Oscars.
