The love shows its true face without resorting to sentimental contrivances. Honest and incisive at the same time, Amour is the perfect picture of love. Haneke does show us your best work, with a solid script and direction, and Emmanuelle Riva offers a performance worthy of Oscar.
The supporting cast is equally good. Totally honest and brutal, a jewel of cinema.
