Review of Amour (2012) by Andrew L — 27 Aug 2013
Amour is one of those films that is hard to reach towards a general audience and with good reason. The story and situations are very realistic and this is the reason what makes it so good, but also disturbing.
As the film goes on, images of the elderly couple become weaker and weaker, as what happens with age and neither can really care for one another anymore. Michael Haneke does a fantastic job at displaying these moments and at times it almost makes it unwatchable.
The acting was very well done. Definitely worth the rent.
