Very gripping -none of the stories turned out quite how I expected either. Although there was quite a lot of violence and a bit too much hysterical shouting (the people in this film sure now how to row) there was also depth and subtlety and many of the characters had redeeming qualities.
Plenty of metaphors and lovely observations, particularly where the dogs are concerned!
