Admittedly I watched this without subtitles, so might give it a higher rating if I can see it with subtitles or learn more Spanish! Nevertheless it is a powerful film that shouldn't be confused with the pointless violence of a Tarantino movie or similar.
The violence is horrific but there is a point to it. It has many layers of simultaneous ideas, so probably deserves more than one viewing.
