Review of Amores Perros (2000) by Nathan M — 13 Jun 2010
As interestingly constructed as it is, the script is fairly run of the mill, resulting in an odd emotional detachment that is not by fault of the actors. I thought the acting was pretty good, but the script's inconsistencies left the characters a bit lacking when it comes to a textured depth.
Many will comment on how this film is edgy and daring and that it is, but its ponderous length and run of the mill feeling of what should be some serious drama prevents it from being great.
